Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. Interlude
Psalm 34:7, 17, 19
The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them. The righteous cry, and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.
Psalm 91:1-2, 11
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abides in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress My God, in whom I trust!” For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night.
The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.
The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
If we live, it’s to honor the Lord. And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
